I think it is fair for students that were brought here illegally as children in which they really had no say in whether or not they got to go. What a waste of time money and potential for a person to waste their time studying so they could just be deported or not even have a chance to fulfill their dreams because of their legal status. everyone deserves a chance to try to make the best of their lives. who know maybe an illegal alien that went to school here in the USA could become someone very great if given the opportunity.

I can't go back to a country i don't know. I grew up in this country and i love this country as if i had been born here. Please do not deny students like myself try to make a better country. It is not our fault. We did not chose to come here as children. But we are also thankful for it because we got to grow up in the best country of the world where we have opportunities and our rights are protected!!!!!

I have hope this bill while pass because like many others this is the golden ticket to a long life eduacation. Like many other my story isnt any different i was brought here as a child looking for the American Dream and I will graduate soon "2012" but there's still the what if's and how am i going to go to college but i have hope. Because i want to make a difference i want to prove to everybody that anything is possible in the land of the dreams. Dreams can come true. I want to become a doctor or psychologist and just because i dont have papers doesnt mean i have to stop what im doing. My parents are my motive because they doubt i will make it far and that i will relive there life long struggle story of being here as an illegal. The DREAM act will help my dreams come true and i hope with all my heart and soul this act will pass.

We all are sons and daughters of god, so why discriminate against our own brothers and sisters? Is it really a crime to want to overcome various obstacles and have a deep desire to achieve in life? I am one of the many students in the U.S. that have overachieved and focused academically. Ever since I was in elementary I have always passed my End of Grade exams with A's. Now I am in high school and I am still excelling in my studies. Now all I can do is pray that they will pass the Dream Act in time so that I can continue with my studies so that I can show what I am capable of doing for this country that has become my home. So I urge people to become part of the dream and look beyond the complexion of our skin and of our nationalities. It is time for people look at the soul of the many students that have only one chance is pursuing their dreams without borders. Let liberty ring across the land and never let the hope of the people die.

I am a US citizen, born and raised. The only reason I support the DREAMACT is because of what it stands for. This specific group are kids and/or students that were bought here by their parents and/or family members, and as kids/students, you do what your parents say and/or go where they go. These students have been living as law-abiding citizens for at least the last 5 years, prove that they are academic achievers, and can certainly contribute to our society. Residency status will at least allow the students to go to school, get educated and help their community and/or go back to help their country.

I have had the opportunity to work with many children who came to the U.S. with their families. While their parents were desperate enough to come to our country illegally, these children have learned how to be "good Americans" and want to act accordingly. They know little of their home countries as they have not been back since they were very young. These children have been educated and have the potential to be productive members of our society. They should be given a chance to be such, not punished for the choices their parents made for them when they were too young to decide.

It is a shame that AMERICA will not give students the opportunity to prove their skills and ambitions because of their legal status. Many of these students have lived in the U.S. their entire life and have been living the American lifestyle. So why not give those who want a future, the chance to prove that they can too be someone in life one day? We all share this world and we should all be treated equally with no judgements and restrictions. The Dream Act should be passed!!!!!!

It's time to pass this needed bill in Congress and for it to be signed by the president. These young people should be allowed to finish their education and become citizens of our great country. These are law-abiding students doing the right thing. they want to make their way in our society and they have earned that right. The law needs to be passed as soon as possible. This is what our country was founded on. Freedom.

It is a shame that illegals crossing the border (can't call them immigrants) are treated with more respect than those whom have abided by all of our visa requirements for years and are prevented citizenship in this country. Martin and Alison Dennis have made significant contributions to this town of Steamboat Springs, the state of Colorado and this country of ours. Hopefully, the bipartisan effort to pass the Dream act will become a reality for this wonderful family.
