I think that everything that is going on is unfair. Some of us were brought here without having any word. We grew up in the U.S having no rights or any freedom. Unfair, right? I am now a sophmore and have a GPA of 6.23 , what does that mean? It means im capable of being as smart as any white person here in the U.S even if i dont have papers , but at the end its all worthless because I can only go to HCC when i would love to go to a big college. I just pray that God gives us justice and puts an end to all this non sense of trying to get rid of us. Please president Obama hear us out.

My name is Jessica,
I was brought to the U.S. when I was 6 years old. Arizona charges undocumented students out of state tuition which makes it even harder to continue my education. THE DREAM ACT movement is raising awareness on the fact that there are MILLIONS of students who are unable to graduate and show their true potential to this country. TOGETHER WE CAN DO IT!! Lets keep the movement alive and hopefully all our hardwork will payoff!! To all the students who are reading this and who can relate to my story...."SI SE PUEDE" dont give up and keep your DREAM ALIVE!!

Much Love, Jessica

I'm paying 1500 dollars just for a three hour credit class, this is ridiculous for just three hours. I was unable to sign my soccer scholarships from top soccer schools because I don't have the money to cover the rest since I don't receive any Government help. It was hard because I taught my soccer game could help me pay for it, but its not enough! come on people are screaming and doing everything for this to get pass. It wont hurt at all besides the country will benefit from it. After all "we are all equal"

Marina has lived here in America all her life. She attended Brentwood Elementary , then Brookside Middle school, and now she is a Junior in High school. She’s a straight A student, plays for her schools Tennis Team, volunteers for the key club, and hangs out with friends that she’s known since kindergarten. She’s getting ready to Graduate from high school next year. All her friends are always talking of college, SAT scores, and Dreams of the future. Marina‘s DREAMS are to go to college and study Law. I think we can all relate to Marina because Her DREAMS are very similar to the kind of DREAMS that most of us have. Those DREAMS that we are determined to make into reality. Our DREAMs are the reason we study late at night because we know that all of our hard work has a purpose.
WELL my friends, IMAGINE IF you were told that you could not pursue your DREAMs. Imagine if someone told you that you could not further your education, and go to College and Live your Life. IMAGINE if someone told YOU that you had NO RIGHTS. Can you IMAGINE being imprisoned in your own HOME. A home we call AMERICA, THE LAND OF OPPORTUNITY.
THIS IS THE CASE OF MARINA. This girl has a broken heart because all her life she has only known this country, and AMERICA is DEPRIVING her of a chance. America is DEPRIVING HER of furthering her Education. And MOST IMPORTANTLY America is DEPRIVING her the chance to pursue happiness. You may be wondering, what has Marina done to deserve this. The honest answer is, that Marina has done absolutely nothing, but be born. Marina is a child being punished for someone else’s mistakes. She is being unfairly punished BY The mistakes that her parents made. AS a young infant, Marina was brought to this country by her Parents illegally. Her parents chose to come here, to make a better life. BUT why is America punishing her. She did not chose to be brought here illegally. She did not make the decision to break the LAW. SHE was only a baby when her parents brought her here.
SADLY Marina is not the only one being punished 65,000 other youths share her affliction and feelings of hopelessness. I believe that these children deserve a chance to make their DREAMS come true and that is why we and all of America should SUPPORT the DREAM ACT. Let’s not leave marina behind, she is like you and I and deserves all the same Opportunities that we do.

I know of someone (one of millions) that was brought here to the U.S. as a baby. They went to school here, and they don't know anything about living in Mexico. Then they turn 18 and guess what... There is NO way for them to become citizens because they already live here. I want my America to help EVERYONE of the mexicans that are currently in the United States RIGHT now. If you want to close the borders in the future be my guest but PLEASE stop making these good people suffer. Democrats are supposed to have the "biggest hearts" for the poor and that is what these people are because they ARE NOT afforded any opportunities here being illegal. They can't get a social security card, they can't get a drivers license, w/o a social security card they are forced to work for cash under the table in HARD back breaking situations for pennies on the dollar. Please do something NOW and help these poor kids that have grown up here and are now adults. PLEASE

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DISSOCIATE THE UNDOCUMENTED FROM THE "LEGAL" AND DOCUMENTED CITIZENS, BECAUSE THEY ALL LIVE IN THE SAME NEIGHBORHOOD AND COPY EACH OTHER'S LIFESTYLE AND MANNERISM. WITH THE ADVENT OF MODERN TECHNOLOGY, IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO SEPARATE THE WHEAT FROM THE CHAFF: REMEMBER, ONE BAD GRAPE SPOILS A WHOLE BUNCH. I WILL GIVE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR A BETTER EDUCATION FOR ALL, INCLUDING THE UNDOCUMENTED SO ALL CAN HAVE A SENSE OF RESPONSIBILIY AND ACCOUNTABILIY. I BELIEVE EDUCATION FOR ALL WILL GO A LONG WAY TO MAKE THE JOB OF THE COPS AND OTHER SERVICE PERSENNELS EASIER THAN WE THINK. WE WANT OUR FUTURE LEADERS (CHILDREN) TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO HARNESS THEIR GOD'S GIFT WISDOM, SKILLS AND INTELLIGENCE SO THEY COULD CONTRIBUTE TO A MEANINGFUL LIFE. This is such a travesty to kids who have no part in being here and would never survive back in Mexico. I just finished reading about six people being found in a cave with their hearts cut out outside of Cancun with Z's carved in their chest. I sat today with a 10th grade honors student who looked down at the ground wondering what he is going to do in a few years. He has no memory of Mexico coming here at 1 year old. Can't we do something? This is such a loss of investment in the education. I have invested 30 years of my life in teaching and this is the one thing that I wish would change more than any other.

President-elect Obama was elected promising to act on a new vision of hope. NOW IS THE TIME to end second-class treatment of undocumented immigrant students and stand up for the RIGHT TO EDUCATION FOR ALL. The Federal Dream Act, which has gotten bipartisan support in the past, would make federal college financial aid available to those who qualify for it and open a path to citizenship to undocumented immigrant college students.

The new civil rights movement that led to the election of Obama and which has the power to achieve everything CAN WIN THIS, BUT ONLY IF WE ACT.

The dream act should be unanimously supported. It is well written, fair, and provides an opportunity for the youth to not only become educated but earn a better life. They would become american citizens both on paper and in terms of education.

PLEASE PASS THE DREAM ACT! I JUST GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL WITH HONORS AND I CAN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE OF MY STATUS! I HAVE BEEN HERE SINCE I WAS 5 YEARS OLD, SO I'VE BEEN LIVING HERE FOR 13 YEARS AND NOW THAT I AM OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL, I CAN'T GET MY DREAM CAREER OR GET ANY OF MY DREAMS ACCOMPLISHED! I SPEAK 3 LANGUAGES, A WHIZ AT WRITING AND READING AND I WANT TO BECOME A TEACHER OR A WRITER BUT I CAN'T BECAUSE OF THE STUPID PAPERS... SOME SAY THAT ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS SHOULDN'T GET PAPERS BUT WHAT US YOUNG ADULTS WHO WERE TAKEN HERE BY KIDS HAVE TO PAY FOR WHAT OUR PARENTS DECIDED TO DO? IT'S NOT FAIR! I AM 100% LIBERAL AND I BELIEVE IT'S TIME FOR US EDUCATED PEOPLE TO GET WHAT WE DESERVE!

It is a shame that AMERICA will not give students the opportunity to prove their skills and ambitions because of their legal status. Many of these students have lived in the U.S. their entire life and have been living the American lifestyle. So why not give those who want a future, the chance to prove that they can too be someone in life one day? We all share this world and we should all be treated equally with no judgements and restrictions. The Dream Act should be passed!!!!!!

It's time to pass this needed bill in Congress and for it to be signed by the president. These young people should be allowed to finish their education and become citizens of our great country. These are law-abiding students doing the right thing. they want to make their way in our society and they have earned that right. The law needs to be passed as soon as possible. This is what our country was founded on. Freedom.

It is a shame that illegals crossing the border (can't call them immigrants) are treated with more respect than those whom have abided by all of our visa requirements for years and are prevented citizenship in this country. Martin and Alison Dennis have made significant contributions to this town of Steamboat Springs, the state of Colorado and this country of ours. Hopefully, the bipartisan effort to pass the Dream act will become a reality for this wonderful family.

The dream Act must be passed to allow my grandson and others like him who came to the United States legally as infants and were brought up as loyal American citizens for a number of years to remain with their families in the United States and provide the dedication and skill required to build the great nation.

Students who have been here since they were children don't deserve to be deported back to their original country. If they have proved to be law abiding people and show that they have something to offer by graduating high school and wanting a higher education then they should be allowed to stay legally in the country which they are used to calling Home.

First of all, I am so grateful my grandparents decided to legally immigrate to this country at the turn of the 20th Century. I love America dearly. The vision of our forefathers had when creating this country has shaped a better world for all of humanity, which is why the USA is such a desirable country to live. The dream the Dennis’ have for living in America is nothing different than the dream my grandparents had over a century ago. However, the Dennis’ have proven before obtaining citizenship, to be valuable assets to this country. I must commend Martin and Alison for the standards they have set in our community, the way they have raised their children, and the ethical way they have conducted their business practices. I find it a true shame if DREAM Act was not passed and the United States of America would lose an opportunity to have their son, as well as other young adults in similar situations, become an American citizen.
