My best friend was recently arrested by ICE agents. He was just a child when he was brought into the US and is now paying the price. He's almost 22 now and is considered a fugitive. He saved my life so I owe it to him to help in any way I can. To make matters worse the jails treat illegals worse than murders and rapists. He's done absolutely nothing wrong yet remains behind bars at the tax payers dollars. I see him every week and he is not well at all. They barely feed him and what he does eat doesn't meet any daily nutretional requirements that I can think of. He's feed no meat whats so ever and has to drink expired milk. What kind of system do we have where murders, terrorist, rapists etc... are treated better than a kid who has done nothing.

I am against rewarding illegal immigrants with immediate health care and SSI. But children who have been here for years should be allowed to stay, become full citizens as they do not know their old country.

The Government has done a poor job of securing out borders, and an even worse job of helping our Latin neighbors. Instead of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that have yeilded little in stopping Al-Queda, we could have spent that money in securing Mexico and making them a powerful trading partner. We could have eradicated the drug gangs, and made Mexico prosperous. Typical lack of vision by our "Leaders".

I was brought to the United States as a child and now I'm about to graduate from high school. I hope tat the dream act will soon be pass because i want to be able to attend college, and get a job. I am a good student who keeps her grades up but because i'm not a citizen i can't even apply for a scholarship or financial aid. Unfortunately there are many others like me. I'm pretty sure that if we were given the opportnity we will make our dreams come true.

I recently found out my girlfriend was an illegal immigrant and she was brought over when she was ten. She has graduated high school last year and is currently enrolled in college. I was going to ask her to marry me moments before she broke the news and because of my job in the Navy it is almost impossible for me to be with the one I love. I am torn between the woman I love and the country I defend.

Please support DREAM ACT. It represents the other face of immigration issue. Many people claim that "illegal" are draining the Welfare Department, still jobs, and damage education, however the undocumented young student will provide valuable contribution to this country; skills, knowledge and force power to keep this country being a great Nation! I am not afraid that they will take my job away as long I am dedicated and responsible employee no legal or legal individual will take away my job. This country provides opportunity for all.

Having attended a magnet school in Nashville, TN many of my close friends fall under the restrictions of our current immigration laws. They have spent more than ten years living in the United States, were raised with and as American children, went to our schools, and graduated in the top majority of our class. But, they are now unable to attend Tennessee Universities because of their lack of financial aid. This is a crime. These are some of the most brilliant minds I have ever encountered and these people will be my closest friends for years to come. Please pass this bill and quickly.

I am now a senior in high school. My goal was to finish high school and go to college to become a nurse. I have been in the U.S for 16 years going on 17 and I still don't have a license because I can't get one due to the lack of a SSN. I passed my Drivers Ed. class with a B and I try hard in school but knoeing that I won't be able to attend the college I want sometimes makes me wonder why I tried. Then I come to my senses and think "Hey, one day everyone that actually tries to be a somebody and doesn't give up on their hopes and dream will actually achieve them no matter how long it takes." There are so many disadvantages in not being a citizen. I remember wanting to donate blood and they wouldn't take it because I didn't have a SSN. I just really hope the DREAm ACT gets passed because one day i want to actually go to the college I've been hoping to attend, be able to donate blood, drive a car, vote, and do everything else any other person at my school can do. Not everybody, but most.

I cannot agree to this proposal being that the immigration situation in the US is out of control. Reform is not what you people seek, it's amnesty. Please stop confusing the public by saying immigration REFORM because that's not what your constituents are seeking. And for those US Senators in favor of an Amnesty bill, you should be charged with TREASON! I have no problem w/ the legal immigrants we have but the illegals are costing billions every year. What ever contributions/taxes they paid are minimal at best. Taxpayers have to pay for it with increases taxes. Everyone has a dream but dreams don't always come true... May be the Cartels can help.

I really hope OBAMA and our Congress decide to pass this bill. Most children who were brought here to the U.S. illegally don't have a choice or say on what is going on in their lives. I believe if they successfully complete high school and receive the Diploma or GED and want to continue to better for themselves, then they should be afforded that option. Especially if they have been here their whole life.

I have seen the best of students and hardest workers unable to pursue their educational and career goals because they are undocumented. I have also seen documented youth waste their lives with drugs, gangs, and other unproductive activities. Do you see how this is fair? Because I do not. There is much undocumented talent that would benefit the country not only academically, socially, and in every field of applicable knowledge, but also economically. Higher education means higher salaries, which in turn means higher taxes. If the public school systems have raised these scholars with tax money, passing the act would ensure some sort of retribution for that. Can you imagine how much money the country can make off of their taxes? It is foolish to deny these young men and women the ability to better their futures and give back to the country that gave much to them.

A lot of foreign families immigrated to this country for a better education and a better future, so it's completely ironic that a country supposedly based off of 'dreams' would totally block all of these students capable of a bright future. This act is only only a HUGE benefit for the country. It's so unfair to see a US citizen student who doesn't care about their future go to college without any problem, and an academically exceeding non-permanent resident/citizen student not being able to afford college because of their residential status. It really is devastating.

I SPEAK 3 LANGUAGES, A WHIZ AT WRITING AND READING AND I WANT TO BECOME A TEACHER OR A WRITER BUT I CAN'T BECAUSE OF THE STUPID PAPERS... SOME SAY THAT ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS SHOULDN'T GET PAPERS BUT WHAT US YOUNG ADULTS WHO WERE TAKEN HERE BY KIDS HAVE TO PAY FOR WHAT OUR PARENTS DECIDED TO DO? IT'S NOT FAIR! I AM 100% LIBERAL AND I BELIEVE IT'S TIME FOR US EDUCATED PEOPLE TO GET WHAT WE DESERVE!

It is a shame that AMERICA will not give students the opportunity to prove their skills and ambitions because of their legal status. Many of these students have lived in the U.S. their entire life and have been living the American lifestyle. So why not give those who want a future, the chance to prove that they can too be someone in life one day? We all share this world and we should all be treated equally with no judgements and restrictions. The Dream Act should be passed!!!!!!

It's time to pass this needed bill in Congress and for it to be signed by the president. These young people should be allowed to finish their education and become citizens of our great country. These are law-abiding students doing the right thing. they want to make their way in our society and they have earned that right. The law needs to be passed as soon as possible. This is what our country was founded on. Freedom.

It is a shame that illegals crossing the border (can't call them immigrants) are treated with more respect than those whom have abided by all of our visa requirements for years and are prevented citizenship in this country. Martin and Alison Dennis have made significant contributions to this town of Steamboat Springs, the state of Colorado and this country of ours. Hopefully, the bipartisan effort to pass the Dream act will become a reality for this wonderful family.

The dream Act must be passed to allow my grandson and others like him who came to the United States legally as infants and were brought up as loyal American citizens for a number of years to remain with their families in the United States and provide the dedication and skill required to build the great nation.

Students who have been here since they were children don't deserve to be deported back to their original country. If they have proved to be law abiding people and show that they have something to offer by graduating high school and wanting a higher education then they should be allowed to stay legally in the country which they are used to calling Home.

First of all, I am so grateful my grandparents decided to legally immigrate to this country at the turn of the 20th Century. I love America dearly. The vision of our forefathers had when creating this country has shaped a better world for all of humanity, which is why the USA is such a desirable country to live. The dream the Dennis’ have for living in America is nothing different than the dream my grandparents had over a century ago. However, the Dennis’ have proven before obtaining citizenship, to be valuable assets to this country. I must commend Martin and Alison for the standards they have set in our community, the way they have raised their children, and the ethical way they have conducted their business practices. I find it a true shame if DREAM Act was not passed and the United States of America would lose an opportunity to have their son, as well as other young adults in similar situations, become an American citizen.

The Dream Act should be passed. It is affecting young adults that have been raised in the United States and will not be allowed to continue their higher education if The Dream Act is not passed. Thank-you
