This needs to pass. For the sake of our youth, our friends, our loved ones, who want to contribute to and be a part of the beautiful American dream now. To be productive, successful, model students and citizens of this great country. Our ancestors had come from all over this world and settled in the US countless of generations ago to build this life we know now. Nothing different from those who have came in recent decades. These will be strong, determined youth who will achieve their dreams, as well as make US citizens proud of their strides and contributions to society, and our history. There is NO reason to cut them off again and again- the time for hope is NOW. The time for this to happen is NOW. With love and carino to these perservering students and their families working and waiting to live a life they've been born to achieve, and flourish in.

I support the DREAM act and will do anything possible to make it a reality. I come from an immigrant family and my mother arrived to this country a the age of 8. she did not have the prpoer resources to attend college. I am a first generation student and will be attending UW Madison in the fall, on a full scholarhip. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to make their dreams reality through the pursue of a college degree. A persons citizenship status should not be the reason why they can not achieve these goals. I am blessed to have been born in the U.S and still i have struggled and watch my family struggle. All the hard work that i have surpass has led me to where I am today and i can not imagine how I would feel if i was unable to persue a higher education. THIS IS WHY I SUPPORT THE DREAM ACT!!

"In God I trust" and i believe that we all have the right to a better life, just because we do not have a green card does not mean that it should taken away from us. I was not born here but i lived mostly all of my life here just like many immigrants and i think its time for president Obama to help us reach that goal. I want to be something in life and the dream act will help reach those goal like many of my fellow students in America.

I am an attorney who is representing a United States Citizen in her fight to keep her adopted son and her family together. Approximately sixteen years ago the USC's sister entered the country through Kennedy Airport with her then two year old son. Approximately two weeks after bringing her son she departed and abondoned him with her older sister.

Approximately six years ago the sister who had abondoned her son died while living in London. The USC then adopted the child who was abondoned with her.

The problem here is that the USC has no documents to verify that the child was inspected on entry and despite that she instructed me to file on his behalf as a child of a USC. The problem as so many people are finding out, is that the law remains very rigid and a child who has only known one parent and with no other family to go to is very worried about what might happen.

If racism is what is impeding you form passing this bill then I feel ashamed at the fallacy of this country's image. We had prosecuted African Americans for over 100 years and denied them a college education because of the color of their skin. Because they were seen as sub-humans. Now, we have an African American president. Will it really take another 100 years of subjection, ridicule, and racism, to allow Americans to see that we all have the right to pursue happiness. To find the will within ourselves to succeed and prosper in life. That it is that will that lends us a helping hand when racist Americans push us down but preach to their God that they believe we are fair and equal. Now, you may call me names, it's not like I haven't heard them. You may strip me of my academic rights, but I'll endure the back-breaking pain of stereotypical jobs to put myself through a college. You may subject all Latino races to your slanderous comments and overpowering racist governmental power denying any opportunities but it is that will, solely that will that'll will unite us and push forth to the threshold of change.

Please sign the Dream Act into law ASAP! Children of illegal immingrants who were brought here by their parents have NOT broken the law and should NOT be punished for that! This is for the ones who are doing well, going to college and pursuing an education, working & paying taxes, and thus making a good contribution to society: these are the kind of youth the US should not insist on pushing out, just because their parents did what they did. I am a young, educated WHITE US citizen & I fully support the Dream Act!!

I SUPPORT THE DREAM ACT, THERE's THOUSANDS OF YOUNG ADULTS NOT BEING ABLE TO FINISH COLLEGE OR ENTER A 4 YR University BECAUSE OF THEIR IMMIGRATION STATUS. Now most of the young adults that came into this counrty were brought by their parents with out any knowledge, that life would only get harder on them as they grow up because of they illegal status, if most those young adults would of known they would be prohibite to further education, I think most of them would of gone back to their countries, it's a shame to tell people that the only reason why they can't go to school it's because of they immigration status. Everyone deserves a chance and alot of latinos are starting to continue their education this could help the U.S.A in their economy by bringing more money and a better opportunity to others.

I am a public middle school teacher with quite a few immigrant students. I never ask students if they are documented or not, but I sometimes ask them how long they have lived in the US. It helps me to know how long they have been educated in US classrooms. I frequently hear answers such as, "since I was three," "when I was a baby," "right before I started kindergarten." These students have been here virtually their entire lives.

My students did not ask to be brought to the US as undocumented immigrants. They deserve all of the education and workplace opportunities that their classmates will enjoy. In many cases, they also have US-born younger siblings who are citizens. Why should their brothers and sisters have opportunities that they do not? Why should America squander the talents and education of our immigrant children because of their parents' choices?? Pass the Dream Act now.

I have been living in the United States for over 6 years now, and I'm now hindered away from a plethora of college opportunities and scholarships. It pains me to see that all of my hard work, and recognition is futile in the face of lack of proper documentation. It was not my choice to come here, but i have worked harder than several could imagine to overcome the obstacles of being an undocumented student. The time is now, we need a change for the hard working students of America, we need the Dream Act now, and as the name implies, dreams don't come true unless you take action.

I support the DREAM act because I support young people and children. If a person found themselves in this country as a child or minor, how can we make them pay a consequence with a severe impact on their future? It is profoundly unfair, because children are presumed innocent!

I reject justifications related to the stimulus, the economy, or "good moral character." Why should a child confirm to my subjective standards of behavior or be useful to me so that I admit and accept their fundamental right to an education? Kids are kids and they've always misbehaved a bit or a lot, and that's how it's been and will be. To support a person's fundamental human rights - this one, education to a child - only because they could be useful to me economically is exploitation, pure and simple.

This country had better wake up to the historical fact that denying people their fundamental rights and exploiting them leads only to decline and fall. Wake up America! Be decent again.

I support the Dream Act because America needs more educated individuals, we cannot allow our own fear of change to diminish the dreams of these young people. To be able to have the persistence required to wait for such a monumental bill is an amazing feat by itself. However, to have that persistence along with the willpower and determination to follow your dreams and never allow others' actions to waver your ultimate decision of becoming successful.... that makes me believe that, one day, the world will be a great place because of these incredible people.

We should have the opportunity to dream of our future like all of our other classmates.

The Dream Act would make the dreams of my sister and family, a reachable goal.

This is one of the most important things that Congress must approve. Some undocumeted immigrants come to the US for a safer life. They want to be a part of society and work for the greater good. Many kids have worked hard through school and as they are ready to graduate they can not continue to higher education.

I have worked with many outstanding young people who fall into this category. Many of these are more conscientious and are of moral character than some native young people who take their citizenship for granted. We need Dream Act qualifiers to stay here and share their goodness with America and the world.

i strongly support the DREAM ACT. and I really hope President Obama pass the plan as soon as possible in order to let the country allow any of us being able to go to college for achieving further educations and degrees. so many people like me have been living in the darkness, and we need to see some changes of a new immigration policy. please pass the act.

The gifts that the undocumented immigrants bring to the nation are overwhelmingly greater than the cost that is perceived. We cannot afford keeping a section of our population in the the shadows of ignorance. Education is the key for the success of our state and our nation.

Let the children live their dream. Nothing should stop them from getting a better education.

Please pass the DREAM Act. So many students and young people are living in the shadows, being denied inclusion into society and being punished for the actions of their parents.
